Oklahoma Photographer ~ Shelly Perkins Photography featuring beautiful blue-eyed Faith

I just had to give a sneak peak of beautiful little Faith. I was so privileged to photograph her and her mother. Faith has the most amazing blue eyes. She was a little shy at first but when she found out that we were just going to play and have fun, she opened up and I was able to make some amazing images of her. I hope you enjoy.

PPO School with Don Dickson for Shelly Perkins Photography of Oklahoma

WOW! My D-Squared class speaker is now with "the" Don Dickson from Plainview, Texas. He is currently serving as the President of the Texas School of Professsional Photography and will be serving as next year's National President of the Professional Photographers of America. What an honor to study with Don. I had several "light bulbs" go off in my head during his class, which even brought me to tears.
Thank you to all those who worked behind the scenes to help make this week happen. Doc Cope, Wayne Reese, Jon Smith, Veronica, and my list could go on and on. At times I felt like I was at boot camp. We shot outside a lot in 100 degree temperatures and not always in the best lighting situations. However, this was to make us better photographers. I always want to stay on the cutting edge of technology and what's current in photography. This week at PPO Photography School has truly been a blessing to me. I've met new friends, saw old friends and really believe God is blessing me and showing me ways to pursue my craft to honor him.

PPO (Professional Photographers of Oklahoma) Photography School Continues for Shelly Perkins Photography

Wow, what an intense week of photography already! I am having the greatest time at the Professional Photographers of Oklahoma Photography School. My current instructor, Don MacGregor, is an amazing environmental portrait artist who typically is commisioned for $5000 for a master portrait. He is from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. I'm learning so much and feel very blessed to have met and studied with him.

(Okay, where's waldo? I mean where's Shelly? LOL)

THANK YOU from Shelly Perkins Photography

Hello to all from Shelly Perkins Photography. I just want to say thank you to each an every one of you for supporting my art and allowing me to do what I love. I have been so privileged to be a part of some very special moments in so many people’s lives. I find that such an honor.
Most of you know me personally and know that over the past few years my family has been going through some very difficult times dealing with my husband’s terminal brain cancer diagnosis, my youngest daughter’s cranial surgeries and even now with my father being diagnosed with cancer. I appreciate the prayers and support that has been given to us.

It has not been an easy road but we have not walked it alone. We continue to walk this path, knowing Christ is right here with us, every step of the way. I find it a blessing from God to be able to have this photography business and watch it grow as we add new clients and friends. This is our livelihood to help support our family and our three children. I don’t take this lightly. This is my work, my love, my passion and desire to create images for you that you will love and cherish for many years to come.

Please join us here on Facebook, follow my blog and if you tweet, follow us on Twitter too. Recommend us to your family and friends and know that our family will always strive to give you the best service around. We’ve tried to do a few fun things along the way, including our contest currently running, which is the “Cutest Kid Contest!”

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do for you. Anything we can do better and if you like what you see, pass our name along to friends or family members. We love our clients, who usually become our friends. Thank you again for your interest in Shelly Perkins Photography. I hope you enjoy this page while you’re here. <3<3<3

BABY GRAYSON by Oklahoma Newborn Baby Photographer Shelly Perkins Photography

Here's a sneak peek of this cutie, Baby Grayson. Amidst all the rain and flooding around the Oklahoma City metro area on Monday, we still managed to get photos of this adorable little guy. Newborns change so quickly and we wanted to catch him while he was still new to the world.

By the way, if you are having a baby soon, keep in mind when scheduling your newborn photos, to do this within the first 10 days of his or her birth. Babies change so quickly. Soon after birth, they figure out they are free and can move and stretch around. Once they have found they are no longer curled up in the womb, that time is lost, forever. So no matter who your favorite photographer is, call them and schedule your portrait while you're still pregnant. A good photographer will rearrange some time if your baby comes a little sooner than expected. ;0) Those babies have minds of their own.
